
Two workers of Jammu Kashmir National Conference were stabbed by unknown assailants during a rally attended by National Conference leaders in Mendhar Poonch district on Sunday.
A leader of the Jammu Kashmir National conference said that choas spread after unknown assailants attacked a National Conference rally with a knife, resulting into injuries to at least two persons, one of them critically.
Police said that it was a group clash which resulted in injuries to three persons. “All the three injured were shifted to near by Hospital where from they were shifted to GMC Rajouri for advanced treatment,” news agency GNS reported.
The one critically wounded has been identified as Suhail Ahmad Son of Mohammed Bashir, a resident of Qasab Mendhar. The second youth injured in the attack has been identified as Mohammed Yasin spn of Shabir Ahmed.
Massive protests were held by the national conference and locals at main chowk of Mendhar to demand strict punishment to the accused.
