On Monday, two persons attempted rape on two teenage girls in the Kralgund area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that two teenage girls had sought lift from a private vehicle at Rassipora towards Watergam in Kupwara.
Those on board did give a lift, however, moments after the two teenage girls boarded the vehicle, the driver and another person tried to rape the duo.
The two girls, however, managed to jump off the vehicle at Rasripora.
Jammu Kashmir Police in this regard registered an FIR no 33/2023 under relevant sections of law at PS Kralgund and an investigation was initiated.
