Two predawn encounters break out in Kashmir

Two pre dawn encounters have broken out the Kashmir valley on Friday morning between Militants and Government forces..

Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that two encounter broke out between the intervening night in Yedpora Pattan in Baramulla and Shopian’s Chitragam.

An official told The Kashmiriyat that fire broke out when suspected militants fired upon forces during a cordon and search operation in the Chitragam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

He said that two militants are believed to be trapped in the operation jointly conducted by 44RR, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF.

As per latest reports, an intermittent exchange of gunfire is going at the site of the encounter.

Meanwhile another encounter has started between militants and Government forces in the Yedipoa area of Baramulla’s Pattan belt.
