Two residential houses, one cowshed gutted in Bandipora fire incident

Two residential houses and a cowshed were damaged during a midnight blaze in Kanyari area of north Kashmir Bandipora district.

Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday night fire broke out from a residential house in Kanyari and later spread to nearby structures.

The locals with the help of fire tenders brought the fire under control, however, two residential houses and one cowshed was damaged during the incident.

The residential houses belonged to Noori Begum, wife of late Abdul Salam Malla and Habibulah Kaloo son of Mohammed Ramzan Kaloo.

The cause of fire is being ascertained.

Meanwhile local residents have appealed to the the district administration to compensate the losses faced by the affected families.
