Ummat e Islami Visits Kulgam Families, Leads Funerals of Slain Militants in South Kashmir

Ummat e Islami Jammu Kashmir on Thursday visited the families of slain civilians and Militants Killed in South Kashmir since Sunday. Ummat e Islami also paid glowing tributes to the slain civilians and the youth killed in separate incidents throughout the Kashmir valley.

Waheed Ahmed Khan who was recently elected as the head of the core group of Ummat e Islami led a team of Ummat e Islami to visit the families of slain civilians who were killed in an explosion in the Laroo area of Kulgam. The team that visited the families of slain youth included Gulzar Ahmed Madni, Riyaz Ahed Qadri, Iqbal Ahmed Shah, Bilal Ahmed Mir. Addressing the gathering here Gulzar Madni said,” The explosives were planted and local population was targeted for supporting the pro Freedom struggle.” He said that it is shameful that the Forces left the site of the encounter without sanitization.

The team expressed condolences with the bereaved families. They visited the families of Aaqib Gulzar, Mansoor Ahmad Dar, Irshad Ahmad Padder, Mohammad Muqeem Bhat, Talib Maqbool Laway and Uzair Mushtaq Dar. He said that in this bloody conflict that has got stretched due to the arrogance of Indian state mothers have lost their bread earning sons and children have lost their bread earning fathers.

A team of Ummat e Islami led Mudasir Sidiqui comprising of Buland Iqbal, Aijaz Hashmi, Mansoor Ul Haq visited the family of slain militant Asif Ahmad Sher Gojri at Khiram Islamabad district.

Sher Gojri was killed in an encounter at Srinagar Yesterday. Speaking to the gathering Buland Iqbal hailed the people of the area for the resilience and commitment to the ongoing freedom movement. He paid blowing tributes to the martyred militant and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. Later they also offered Fateh Khani to the slain militant and other martyrs of the Kashmir.

Ummat e islami members also participated in the funeral prayers of Sabzar Ahmad Sofi in Naina Sangam and also addressed the gathering massive there and also led the funeral prayers of Slain Militant Sahir Ahmed in Arwani today.

Ummat e islami reiterated support and commitment to the ongoing freedom struggle and said the commitment of the party will not be repressed by any brute measures.
