An unidentified male dead body was found inside a pond near railway track in Shamsipora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday morning.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that that some locals spotted a male body lying inside pond in Shamshipora village following which they informed local police station.
A senior police officer told The Kashmiriyat that soon after the information was received a team of police rushed to the spot and took the body into their possession.
The official said that a case has been registered and investigation has been taken up.
He added that efforts underway to identify the person.
