Suspected Militants hurled a grenade on a CRPF patrol near Goriwan area in Bijbehara of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district on Thursday.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that militants hurled a grenade on a party of 90 BN of CRPF men deployed on highway near Goriwan in which five CRPF men received injuries.
The CRPF troops were rushed to the nearby Sub District hospital after which troops immediately laid down a siege around the area.
Hospital sources confirmed the identity of injured as Pankaj Kumar, Nitin Kumar, B Kumar, Ominder Singh and Yoginder Singh.
The operation was launched to nab the attackers, Officials told The Kashmiriyat.
