‘We need his Model of Unity Yet Again’- Mehbooba Mufti, Hurriyat Leaders pay Tributes to Dr. Qazi Nisar

Various religious, political organizations have paid tributes to slain Mirwaiz of South Kashmir, Dr. Qazi Nisar on his 27th anniversary.

The Former Chief Minister and President People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday paid rich and glowing tributes to renowned Islamic Scholar Qazi Nisar Ahmad on his 27th death anniversary.

Mehbooba described Qazi Nisar as a renowned religious scholar and a mass leader who had dedicated his life to getting the state out of the cycle of chaos, uncertainty, and conflict.

The PDP President added that Late Qazi Nisar worked with most earnest efforts for the upliftment of the downtrodden and weaker sections of the society. “He was a noble soul and a leader with political astuteness. He battled against various forces very bravely and was a man with a genuine spirit of patriotism. May his soul rest in peace,” Mehbooba said in her message.

Senior Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Abbas Ansari, head of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and a senior Hurriyat leader, has paid homage to eminent religious scholar and political leader Shaheed Mirwaiz Qazi Nisar Ahmed on his 27th anniversary.

He said that Shaheed Nisar was a fearless and fearless political leader as well as a social leader and religious scholar who devoted his entire life to the service of religion and leadership of the oppressed Kashmiri nation.

He paid homage to the political, welfare, and religious services of Qazi Nisar and said that the martyrdom of Qazi Sahib proved to be a great tragedy for the people of Jammu Kashmir. “This martyrdom has created a huge gap in Kashmiri society which cannot be filled for centuries,” Itehad ul Muslimeen said in a press release.

Ansari said that the religious, political and social services of the martyr are an asset to the Kashmiri nation and we salute his valiant resistance role and political insight. Maulana said that the absence of this leader and preacher of unity is acutely felt today and in order to fill this gap his mission has to be completed and this is the best tribute to this great leader.

J&K Peoples Movement (JKPM) Senior Leader Advocate Syed Iqbal Tahir has paid rich and glowing tributes to renowned Islamic Scholar Qazi Nisar Ahmad on his 27th death anniversary.

Iqbal Tahir described Qazi Nisar as a noted religious scholar and political leader who had dedicated his life to the betterment of poor and downtrodden people. “He was a noble soul and was highly respected by people of J&K. May his soul rest in peace,” Iqbal said in his message.

Former Minister and Member Legislative assembly, Dr. Mehboob Beg has paid rich tributes to Dr. Qazi Nisar.

“Dr. Qazi Nisar was a much respected and revered religious scholar and contributed to the upkeep of the society by always making his clear and useful thoughts known for the betterment of the people,” Dr. Beg said.

He recalled how Dr. Qazi Nisar showed immense flexibility and foresight by engaging with him and finding a solution when Anantnag went on the boil in the early 1980s and was at the precipice of a potential communal episode.

Dr. Qazi Nisar always stood for peace and brotherhood in the society, remarked Dr. Beg.

Bar Council has also paid rich tributes to the slain members along with other trade and transport bodies.

Sumo Stands Association also paid tributes to the slain Mirwaiz saying, “He always spoke for the poor and the workers class, he appraised the issues of those who needed him. The poor people saw a messiah in him,” Shabir Ahmed, president of Sumo drivers association said in his message.

The Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Saturday paid glowing tributes to Qazi Nissar on his 27th death anniversary.

The chairman of Anjuman e Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Masavi Ali Safavi, and Sarjan Barkati, Kashmir’s famous cleric has paid tributes to the slain Mirwaiz.

Religious organizations including Karwan e Islami, Minhaj ul Quran, Minhaj ul Islam, Sout ul Awliya also remembering the Mirwaiz paid rich tributes to him.

Several other political and religious outfits spread in the nooks and corners of the Kashmir valley have also paid tributes to Dr. Qazi Nisar on his anniversary.
