Will Sue Mumbai Police for TRP Scam Allegations: Republic TV Editor

All the four accused, who were arrested in the Television Rating Points (TRP) scam case involving the manipulation of the viewership ratings, have been sent to the police custody till October 13.

Two of the accused are owners of Fakt Marathi and Box Cinema TV channels. Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV channel is also said to be allegedly involved in the TRP scam.

However, Gowami has denied any allegations and has openly called out the Mumbai police. Editor of the Republic TV, Arnab Goswami said that he will “sue” the Mumbai police for these allegations, and that the police commissioner was making these claims “because we have questioned him in the Sushant Singh Rajput case investigation”.

Goswami on his prime time TV show claimed that the report from the rating agency Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), which the Mumbai Police had cited, did not mention Republic TV and that there was an alleged conspiracy.

“Tonight viewers, me and my entire team, we just have one message for these liars. Brace yourselves for more exposes, more deep investigations, more fearless reporting and for you Param Bir Singh, more court cases,” Goswami said on his show.
