Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has written to the administration in Jammu Kashmir informing that he will vacate his government house by the end of October.
Posting this letter on his social media, he said that he is taking this step voluntarily and the news in the media last year was wrong. He has written that he has not received any notice to leave the house, he is taking these steps with his heart.
In a letter to the Administrative Secretary of Jammu Kashmir, he has told that I was allotted house number G-1 in 2002 on Gupkar Road, Srinagar.
“When I became Chief Minister in 2008, I was allotted house number G-5 as Chief Minister’s residence. Till 2015 I lived in this house. I have been living since then,”
Omar has also written that he never took any government property nor did he want to. In such a situation, it is not good for them to live in this house. He is looking for a proper home for himself. This process is taking time because it is the corona period. He has written that he is confident that in the next eight-ten weeks he will get a proper house and he will shift to it.
