Woman critically injured in gas leakage blast in Kulgam

A woman sustained critical injuries after a cooking gas leak triggered an explosion at her home in DK Marg area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday morning.

The victim, identified as Wazeera Bano from Kandi Marg, suffered severe burn injuries in the blast. She was first admitted to GMC Anantnag for initial treatment and later referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for specialised care. Her condition remains critical.

Police have registered the incident and are investigating the matter further.
