A woman died due to electrocution at her home in Balpora village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.
The woman received an electric shock after she came in contact with a live electric wire, sources told The Kashmiriyat.
A health official said that she was immediately shifted to the sub-district hospital (SDH) Shopian where doctors declared her brought dead.
The deceased woman has been identified as Tanseema Jan wife of Fayaz Ahmad Thoker.
Meanwhile, a police official confirming the incident to The Kashmiriyat said that a case has been registered in this regard.
