The negligence of School Administration at government high school Padgampora Awantipora put carrier of at least six students at stake as they were disallowing to appear in the annual exam 10th standard examination despite fulfilling all the formalities.
Students alleged that Headmaster High school Padgampora disallowed them to get their roll number slips and appear in the 10th annual examination due to unknown reasons.
They added that they submitted examination fees with all other students and had fullfilled the examination forms like other students did but later as rest of the students got their roll slips but 6 students were denied of the same.
Nadia Maqbool one of the student said that" After submitting the form we started to prepare for the examinations but When we went to the school to get our Roll slips as the exam was just some days after but Headmaster of the institute said that you cannot sit in examination as you have shortage
She added that We were thunderstruck after headmaster of the instution informed us that you students exsist in shortage list and you won't appear in the exams without notifying us at the time of submitting all the formalities.
A student among them claimed to have 85% Attendance.
How can be i disallowed and one who had below 60% was allowed,she questioned.
Urfi Jan another student said that if we were in shortage list how our roll slips were prepared and how our marks sheets are available where we have been shown Absent as we were not allowed to sit in the examination as principal was fearing of bad results.
Parents of these students said that we have begged for every single penny to educate our Children but unfortunately our all plights and hardwork of our children went into vain.
They alleged that our wards were prevented from appearing in the said examnation as school admanistration feared bad results and hence made our wards to scapegoat to prevent their own skin.
They added that if staff would have put efforts during the entire session,they would not have put us and our childrens in this trouble
They requested that concerned authorities to take the cognizence of the matter and accordingly do justice with our children who had suffered irreparable loss.
They also demanded action against Principal and staff of the institution.
On contacting Chief education officer Pulwama, he said that I have already directed concerned Principal to take up the issue with Board of school education as if these students were in shortage list how their roll number slips were send and how their marks card shows them absent.
He assured that action would be taken against principal and staff, if found guilty.
