14 associates of Masood Azhar killed in Indian airstrike in Bahawalpur: Report

Maulana Masood Azhar, leader of the banned  Jaish-e-Mohammed, has claimed that 10 members of his family and four close associates were killed in an Indian airstrike on the Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur, BBC urdu reported.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Azhar revealed that the fatalities family members.

The statement also indicated that one of Azhar’s close associates were killed during the attack, which took place on the night of Tuesday, May 6.

In related developments, the Indian government has yet to comment on the specific details of the attack, but it has continued to maintain that its operations target terrorist infrastructure.

These strikes mark a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, which have long been a source of instability in the region.
