19 RR of Indian Army organizes Medical camp in Nowgam

The 19 RR of Indian Army stationed in the Anantnag District of South Kashmir on Monday organised a medical camp and  distributed COVID-19 protective items at Pahloo area in Nowgam.

Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that scores of people from Nowgam, Pahloo, Khundroo, Pushroo, kuthair, Sonbran and it’s adjacent areas were benefited by the camp.

“The need of organizing a medical camp was the most of these villages which were badly affected by COVID-19 and many recovered patients were facing acute illness post covid infection,” an Army official said.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat he said that a team consisting of Coy CDR Rainpora Major Pradeep 19 RR along with RMO, three nursing assistants, five BFNAs addressed the issues and successfully organised medical camp in Pahloo Nowgam.

A Total of 350 patients including 110 females and 60 children along with Gujjars and Bakarwal had  attended the camp and benefited, he said.

All attendees were provided with a COVID-19 kit containing masks, gloves and sanitizer, PPE kits were issued to local health service providers and ASHA workers.

The camp was conducted with implementation of strict COVID-19 protective protocols, at the end all the villagers gave their warm regards to the Indian Army.
