Lady dies of Electrocution- 3rd Incident in North Kashmir since yesterday

September 04 Shabir Khan A women identified as Aisha begum died due to electrocution on Tuesday in Khawaja bagh are of North Kashmir's Baramulla District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the lady was repairing an electric wire when she was electrocuted after which she was rushed to the hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, the doctors declared her 'brought dead.' Aisha Begum of Khawaja Bagh Baramulla is third person to have died of electrocution in North Kashmir since Monday evening.

Massive CASO Launched in Kulgam Area

September 04 A Cordon and Search Operation has been launched in the Czader area of Quimoh belt in South Kashmir's Kulgam District on Tuesday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 9RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched an Anti Militancy operation in the area. They said that following an input about Militant movement in the Czader area, the troops immediately rushed to the spot. Locals Meanwhile told The Kashmiriyat that the forces have blocked all the entry and exit points to the area and a massive search operation has started. Pertinently czader area of Kulgam is the region where Shakoor Ahmed Dar, the famous Militant commander was killed in a gunfight with forces on 24 June this year.

Drugs Worth 100 Crore Seized in Kathua

September 04 The Jammu Narcotics Control Bureau Tuesday claimed to have foiled an attempt to smuggle huge quantity of heroin and arrested four people in this connection. It recovered over 22 kg heroin and Rs 17 lakh cash form them. Three Kashmiri residents were arrested here for smuggling heroin worth Rs 100 cr from Handwara town in the state to Punjab. The person who was to receive the contraband was also nabbed from the neighbouring state, Virender Yadav, the zonal director of the Jammu NCB, told reporters. He said a private car was intercepted at Pali Morh on Sunday and its search led to the recovery of 22.145 kg heroin. September 04 A CASO has been launched in Kanigam area of Kandi in South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Tuesday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and BN CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly. "The Operation was launched after troopers received a specific input about Militant movement in the area," Sources said. The Search operations were going on when this report was filed.

16 Year old Young Boy Lynched in Indian Capital On Suspicion Of Being Thief

September 04 A teenager who had entered a house to allegedly steal valuables, was lynched by locals in northwest Delhi's Mukundpur in the early hours on Tuesday, following which three people were arrested, the police said. Deputy commissioner of police (Northwest) Aslam Khan said the 16-year-old boy had entered a house to steal valuables, but was caught by the owner and beaten to death by some locals. A case has been registered at the Bhalaswa Dairy police station in this regard. Three of the accused have been arrested while three others are absconding, the police official said. (PTI) 

SOG Camp attacked in Shopian Area, Search Operation Launched

Qari who was the the most respected religious personality from Kashmir in Saudi Arabia has passed on Monday and He was laid to rest in Jannat-ul-Baqiah on monday morning, reports said. Qari Khalil from Pathka village of Muzzafarabad in Pakistani side of Kashmir was born in 1940 and had migrated to Saudi Arabia in 1963. In 2016, it was Qari Mohammad Khalil led the Tarawih prayers in Islam’s first mosque.
