Jammu Blast- 15 People Detained

March 07 One person died and 32 others were injured when a massive grenade blast rocked Jammu bus station at about 12 noon on Thursday. 32 people injured in the blast were shifted to the Government Medical College (GMC) hospital. IGP Jammu Manish Kumar Sinha said that the police are following leads for further investigation into the matter. Early visuals from the blast site also showed damaged vehicles. The area was cordoned off, and assessment is currently underway, the Jammu police said in a briefing. 15 people have been detained so far for questioning. Forces Launch CASO in Tral Area

March 07 A cordon and search operation (CASO) has been launched by Government Forces in Tral area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday afternoon, 42 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched a search operation in Buntral area of Tral. Following inputs about Militant movement in the area, the forces blocked all the entry and exit points of the area.   A door to door search operation had been launched when this report was filed.

March 07 Ten days of declaring Jamaat e Islami Jammu and Kashmir an ‘unlawfull organisation’, Government sealed the headquarters of the socio religious party at Batamaloo, Srinagar on Thursday. According to sources a large contingent of forces arrived at the place and entered JEI’s office and sealed it. JeI was banned by the government of India for allegedly supporting militancy, separatists, and to carve out an Islamic state out of Government established by law. More than 200 activists of JeI has been arrested so far.

18 Injured in Jammu Bus Stand Blast

March 07 Eighteen people have been injured in a blast in Jammu bus stand on thursday morning, Police officials said. "It seems the grenade was lobbed from outside and it possibly rolled beneath the bus. It has caused injuries to 18 persons": IGP of Jammu division said. The injured have been evacuated to the nearby hospital for treatment.
