3 Militants Killed in Anantnag Encounter

Waris Shah/ Sheikh Nadeem Three Militant have been killed in an ongoing encounter that erupted between militants and government forces in Ranipora area of South kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district on Monday morning. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that three militants have been killed so far in the heated exchange of fire that erupted on Monday morning. He added that the search operation at the site of the encounter is still on. Earlier another official had said that that a joint team Government Forces including Jammu Kashmir Police, Army’s 19 RR and CRPF had launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area. Waris Shah/ Sheikh Nadeem An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Khul area of Ranipora in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District. A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that on Monday morning 19 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the Khulczohour area. The speeding car was carrying some local labourers for work in the fields when its driver lost control of the vehicle at Gondla village in R S Pura area around 8.15 am, a police official said.
