Kulgam Encounter- 2 Militants Killed, 3 Army men Injured- Mobile Internet Suspended

KULGAM
One more militant was killed in a gunfight that broke out on Saturday afternoon in Arreh Mohanpora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district. An official told that one more militant was killed in the gunfight. "With this killing, the death toll of the militants in the encounter has reached two." He said that three soldiers including JCO received minor injuries, who have been evacuated to 92 Base hospital for treatment. Earlier, a joint team of Police, Army’s 34 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation based on a specific information about the presence of militants in the area. Meanwhile, in view of encounter authorities also suspended mobile internet services in Kulgam district as a precautionary measure—(KNO)

25-Year-Old Biker Dies in South Kashmir Mishap

Waris Shah A 25-year-old youth on Saturday evening died in a road mishap in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a 25-year-old biker identified as Zahid Ahmad Najar son of Bashir Ahmad Najar of Kukar Pahalgam met with an accident at Batkoot when his two wheeler hit with a tree after he lost control over his speed. He was rushed to the District hospital in a critical condition however doctors declared him brought dead on arrival. Meanwhile Jammu Kashmir police has taken cognizance of this road mishap.

Ajay Devgan to Make Movie on Galwan valley

Bllywood actor and producer, Ajay Devgan will soon announce a film based on the attack on Indian soldiers by Chinese troops in Galwan Valley along the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh. 'It will narrate the story of the sacrifice of 20 Indian army men who fought the Chinese Army," a report said The report further read that it is not clear if Ajay Devgan will himself star in the movie, but the film will be co-produced by Ajay Devgan Films and Select Media Holdings LLP. Four More Die of Covid in Kashmir- Toll 125

The death toll due to the Novel Coronavirus has mounted to 125 in Jammu Kashmir as four more patients died on Saturday due to the virus in the Union Territory, officials said. The four deceased patients include 65-year-old man from Handwara, 75-year-old man from Dailgam and 55-year-old man from Tangmarg Baramulla and 65-year-old man from Alastang Ganderbal. Dr Shifa Deva, Medical Superintendent at JVC Bemina told that a 65-year-old male from Chogal Handwara, who was shifted from SKIMS last night, died at JVC on Saturday morning. Unidentified body fished out in Sumbal Bandipora

An unidentified body with legs and head chopped was this morning recovered from Jhelum river at Sumbal in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district. An official said that some locals spotted the body floating on water in Sumbal locality and informed the concerned police station. An official said the body was without legs and head.
