22-year-old Girl from Anantnag Weaves Dreams for Dozens of Girls with her Sewing Centre

Sheikh Nadeem

A 22-year-old girl from the Chartrenzi area of Vailoo in Anantnag district in South Kashmir has established her own business outlet to earn for her family, she is also training young girls from the locality.

Two years ago, Muzammil individually launched a stitching machine and started running the business alone, which of course was a tough job to do, but slowly she converted this small business unit into a large-scale outlet, and today more than a dozen unemployed girls earn their livelihoods from the business unit.

“The Girls are earning for their families as she motivated young girls towards the stitching business and are independent,” a young girl working with Muzammil said. In this sewing center, Muzammil is providing employment to dozens of girls who are also provided training.

“After completing education, young girls spend their entire lives looking for government jobs, which is not possible for everyone. My message to all girls is to start their own business and get self-employed. She said that girls are not lagging behind in any field of life and in the present age girls are ahead of boys in every field as they are developing their skills at a rapid pace,” Muzammil told The Kashmiriyat.

She thanked Imtiaz Ahmad Dar, a local who encouraged to expand the sewing center.
