The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to finalize its candidates for the upcoming Jammu Kashmir Assembly elections today.
According to media reports, BJP leader Ram Madhav is anticipated to arrive in Jammu shortly, where he will preside over a crucial meeting to finalize candidate panels for each Assembly constituency.
These panels will then be sent to the BJP headquarters in New Delhi later today. The final decision on the candidates will be made by the National Election Committee, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“We are fully prepared to contest the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls with a robust strategy and the right candidates. Today’s meeting is crucial to ensuring that we nominate the best possible contenders for each constituency,” a senior BJP leader stated.
Ram Madhav’s meeting in Jammu is seen as pivotal in finalizing the candidate list. “This is a critical moment for the party. We are carefully considering every factor before making our decisions,” another BJP leader added.
The National Election Committee is expected to announce the final list of candidates soon after these discussions conclude.
