December 14 The Bar Association of Islamabad (Anantnag) on Friday calling the District Development commissioner of this South Kashmir District as a miserable failure has demanded the transfer of the official. Addressing a presser,  at the District court complex, the President of the Association, Advocate Fayaz Ahmed Sodagar alleged that the magistrate and his officials have time and again humiliated the members of the Bar Association. Hajin Shuts for the Fifth Day against the Killing of Teenagers

December 13 A complete shutdown is being observed in Hajin town of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on fifth day  to mourn the killings of two teenage militants. Militants Killed in Sopore Identified- Both Locals

December 13 Two militants were killed in an encounter that raged between Militants and Government Forces in Brath Kalan village of north Kashmir’s Sopore   on Wednesday night. Two Militants Killed in Sopore Encounter

December 13 Shabir Khan Two Local Militants have been killed in an overnight encounter that raged  late night on Wednesday in Gund Mohallah of Brath Kalan in Sopore area of North Kashmir's Baramulla District. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that the encounter raged when two holed up Militants fired upon a joint party of 22RR, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF who were conducting a search operation in the area. They said the forces put the operation at halt late night on Wednesday however they installed search lights to stop militants from taking advantage of the dark to escape from the spot. December 12 Intense Clashes have erupted between protesters and government forces erupted in the Brath Kalan area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district where a gunfight between militants and forces is underway. A Local told The Kashmiriyat that scores of protesters assembled and pelted stones on forces who responded to intense tear smoke shelling. Announcements are being made on loudspeakers in the mosques asking others to come out, a local told The Kashmiriyat. December 12 An encounter has raged between militants and Government forces erupted at Gund Mohallah, Brath Kalan in Sopore area of North Kashmir's Baramulla District Sources told The Kashmiriyat  that a joint team of 22 RR, Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation at Gund Mohalla area on Wednesday evening after receiving inputs about presence of some militants in the area. Forces Start Door to Door Search Operation in Sopore Area

December  12 The Government Forces on Wednesday afternoon laid siege around the Gund Brath area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramullah District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday, the forces including  RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police laid down a cordon and search operation in the area. Following a specific input about Militant movement in the area, the forces sealed all the entry and exit points to the Gund Brath area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Shopian locality and are conducting a search operation in the area. December 12 A 19-year-old Kashmiri student who had went missing from his college premises in Greater Noida on Saturday has been found in Mumbai. The student, Aashim Hussain had went missing from Knowledge Park on Saturday after which His family hasn’t been able to contact him since. A 19-year-old Kashmiri student went missing from his college premises in Greater Noida on Saturday. His family, which travelled from Handwara to Greater Noida, filed a formal police complaint on Tuesday. The student, Aashim Hussain, went missing from Knowledge Park on Saturday.
