Street violence has ended in Kashmir: LG Manoj Sinha
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday said that the era of street violence in Kashmir has come to an end.
With the streets now safer, people can return home late in the evening, a luxury that was impossible in the past due to frequent hartals and street violence.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Multi-Purpose indoor stadium in Handwara, Lieutenant Governor Sinha expressed his delight over the significant increase in youth participation in sports activities across the valley.
He revealed that Kashmir now holds the highest sports budget in the country, a testament to the government’s commitment to promoting a healthier and more active lifestyle for its citizens.
Addressing those who support violence, Sinha emphasized that they will be held accountable for their actions.
