According to varied media reports received by The Kashmiriyat, the authorities have removed the literature of Agha Shahid Ali and novelist Basharat Peer from the M.A (English) curriculum at Cluster University in Srinagar.
“While the literature of the duo has been removed at the Cluster University, authorities are considering the removal of Agha’s poetry and Basharat Peer’s novel at KU,” reports said.
Basharat Peer, currently settled in the United States published his award winning novel “Curfewed Night” which was later included in the M.A English curriculum.
