As Jammu Kashmir is under fresh surge of coronavirus cases amid lack of resources and facilities, in budgam district of Bemina area Kashmir’s biggest Imam bara Ayatollah Yousuf (RA) has transformed into a Covid-19 facility to accommodate upto 50 patients.
The Imambara in Bemina area, has been converted into a 50-bed COVID facility keeping in view the prevailing condition of covid 19.
A member of organisation that covered the Imambara into the covid facility said that the shortage of Covid beds made them come up with the idea so that more people could be provided treatment if they cannot get admitted in the hospital.
The religious organization, Anjuman Sharei Shian led by Aga Syed Mohammad Hadi took an initiative to convert the Kashmir’s biggest Imam bara Ayatollah Yousuf (RA) into covid care center.
Incharge of Imam bara Tahir ahmed Safvi, told The Kasmiriyat that they got only 30 beds from Jammu Kashmir administration.
“And we get more number of beds, within coming two days, the entire covid care center would be functional and it would cater to the needs,” Tahir said.
