With moderate showers, lightning and winds, the high-altitude areas of Sinthan Marwa in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday received a fresh snowfall.
Reports said that overnight, the snowfall started in the higher reaches of Sinthan Marwa.
The snowfall followed torrential rains that lashed large parts of Jammu and Kashmir bringing down the mercury by several notches.
The plains of Kishtwar district witnessed incessant rains, while the hilly regions recorded fresh snowfall on Saturday.
The recently opened Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road also recorded a fresh spell of snowfall.
Snowfall in the higher reaches has sent chilly winds into the plains of the valley leading to a dip in the night temperatures.
As per sources, due to fresh snowfall at Sinthan Marwa records atleast 2 feet and other adjacent areas daksum larnoo and deesu receives 2 inches.
Meanwhile when we contacted Xen R&B Vailoo Mr. Ab Rashid told the Vehicular movement for both sides have been stopped and Machinery are on job for clearance of road.
