One person died during a road accident in the Brakpora area of Anantnag district in South Kashmir early on Thursday morning.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that a road tipper bearing the registration number JK03A 7648 hit a pedestrian namely Naseeb Ahmad son of Khazir Wani aged 50 near the B.Ed college in Brakpora injuring him critically.
Naseeb Ahmed was shifted to the Government medial College in Anantnag for treatment, however, upon his arrival at the hospital, he was declared brought dead by the Doctors.
The body of the deceased who was a resident of Wangam area in Shangus Anantnag will be handed over to the family after completion of the postmortem, the official said.
