Taking serious note of the alleged medical negligence leading to the death of Mohammad Hussain Hafiz, an employee of MC Pulwama who reportedly died due to cardiac arrest in the District Hospital on 31 January 2022, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary today ordered the constitution of an inquiry committee for investigating the matter. Jammu and Kashmir reported 2751 covid-19 cases, up by 201 from yesterday, even as nine persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24-hours, officials said on Tuesday. They said 1105 of the fresh cases were confirmed from Jammu Division and 1646 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 438176. Regarding the fresh fatalities, the officials told GNS that four among them were reported from Jammu division and five from Kashmir valley. In view of decline in Covid-19 cases since last few days, the authorities at SKIMS Soura have decided to resume OPD services from tomorrow.
