A policeman was killed allegedly in an accidental fire at Malipeth Kishtwar where he was posted on Naka duty, officials said on Friday. They said Constable Ajeet Singh of R S Pura Jammu suffered grievous wounds after his SLR rifle went off accidentally. He was rushed to district hospital Kishtwar where he succumbed to the wounds, they said. Suspected Militants opened fire on Upon Government forces at SKIMS Medical College Hospital. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the Government Forces were fired upon by suspected Militants near SKIMS Medical College Hospital in Srinagar's Bemina area on Friday. In wake of fresh snowfall, the district administration Kupwara in north Kashmir has restricted the vehicular movement towards the border areas as a precautionary measure. An official communique, a copy of which is available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), reads that "In view of the snowfall in border areas, slippery condition of roads and to save precious lives for accidental mishaps, it is requested to restrict the traffic movement on Kupwara to border areas."
