Local residents remember him as warm and kind.“He had just built a new home, and the family had only recently moved in,” said Prem Poonia, a former soldier from the village.

“Today he has been martyred in the service of the nation. We are proud of his sacrifice.”

During a media briefing on Saturday, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Ministry of External Affairs stated that Pakistan had carried out targeted attacks on over 26 Indian sites, including military installations and medical facilities in Udhampur, Srinagar, and Avantipura.

She condemned Pakistan for striking medical centers and schools, calling it an “irresponsible and unprofessional” act.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed deep sorrow over Moga’s death. “May Lord Ram grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the grieving family,” he said.

Former CM Ashok Gehlot also paid tribute, saying the nation would always remain indebted to Moga for his sacrifice. Tributes also poured in from Governor Haribhau Bagade and leaders across party lines.

The attack is part of a broader escalation in hostilities, with both military and civilian infrastructures reportedly targeted by Pakistani forces in recent days.
