Rare’ Yellow-throated’ Mammal Rescued by Wildlife Department in Anantnag Kashmir

The Jammu Kashmir Wildlife department on Friday claimed to have received a rare specie of the animal kingdom in the Sundoo area of Anantnag’s Shangus.

An official told The Kashmiriyat that the Rage Officer of Bringi Dildar Ahmad Bhat received input about the presence of an unknown animal at Sundoo Nowgam.

The team of wildlife Department from Achabal control room immediately reached the spot where it was found a rare species of Marten a mammal belonging to the family of Chordata.

The official said that the animal had a few injuries on its body.

Later the team rescued and gave medical attention and treatment to the said animal which is still under investigation and observation.

Gulzar Ahmad, the senior in charge of Wildlife control room Achabal Speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that the human-animal conflicts have alarmingly increased from last two months or so throughout the valley and it is a challenging job for the wildlife department nowadays.

Later he thanked the people of Sundoo Nowgam for their cooperation in this particular case and also requested people to cooperate in the same way in the future with the department.
