Militants call killed Cousin of Bilal Molvi as ‘martyr’, offered gun salute.

July 14 Locals in Heff village of South Kashmir's Shopian district exhumed the body of civilian killed by unknown gunmen before 5 days and buried him next to slain HM commander Sadam Padder. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that soon after Friday prayers at least six militants appeared at the graveyard where Tariq was buried and declared him martyr and asked them to bury him next to slain hizb commander Sadam Padder. They offered gun salute to Tariq and said that he is a martyr and Indian agencies are involved in his killing, they added. Youth Killed In Army firing at Trehgam

July 11 A civilian has been shot dead during the clashes in Trehgam area of North Kashmir's Kupwara District on Wednesday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a civilian identified as Khalid Gaffar was shot by government forces as clashes erupted in Trehgam area. Khalid who is a 22 year old youth had received multiple bullet wounds including one on his neck. Clashes had erupted between Government Forces and civilians in the Trehgam area on Wednesday night. An Army official speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that a cavalcade of Indian Army had come under attack from stone throwers and they had to fire in self defence. Khalid is the fifth civilian to be killed in a span of less than five days, earlier three civilians were killed in Kulgam on Saturday, one in Shopian on Tuesday....

73 Local Militants Killed this Year, At Least 100 Joined

July 11 73 Local Militants have been killed since January this year. The forces also eliminated two militants in gunfight at Shopian district on Tuesday, taking the total numbers at 108, 23 Government Force personnel have also been killed during these operations. Massive Clashes Erupt Near Gunfight Sight. At least 4 Injured

July 10 At least four persons have been injured during intense clashes that erupted near the encounter site in Kundalan area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that intense clashes erupted as soon as the news of Militants being trapped in the area spread. Youth in large numbers hit the streets shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Islam slogan, the forces deployed in the area fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters. Hospital Officials at Shopian confirmed to The Kashmiriyat that four civilians out of whom one has been referred to Srinagar for treatment were brought to the hospital from the encounter site.

Massive Gunfight Breaks out in North Kashmir

July 08 An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in Khanpora Magam in Handwara area of North Kashmir's Kupwara District Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation. The Encounter started when Militants fired on a patrolling party of Government forces near the forest area.
