Two unidentified militants were killed in an ongoing encounter with security forces in Adigam, Devsar area of Kulgam district in South Kashmir on Saturday morning.
A senior police official confirmed to News Vibes of India (NVI) that the identities of the slain militants are yet to be established.
The encounter began when militants, hiding in the area, opened fire on a joint team of security forces conducting a search operation. This led to a gunfight, resulting in the neutralization of the two militants.
The operation is still underway as security forces continue to secure the area, the officer added.
