Two teenage girls have been missing from their home in the Shopian district of south Kashmir.

Family members told The Kashmiriyat that Raziya Jan and Asmat Jan have been missing from their home in Pahnoo area of Shopian in south Kashmir, triggering panic among the family members.

They said that the two had gone to the shop of their father on Sunday afternoon while their mother was in the nearby village for some work.

“When she (mother) came back, I had called her to send someone from home to the shop. It was she who informed me that the two sisters were not at home,” their father said.

The family has no means to contact the duo as they do not have a phone. “How would we call them, they do not even have a phone,” he said. Neighbours of the duo spoke to The Kashmiriyat and said nobody even in the neighbourhood knew them. “People do not know how they look or what they do,” they said.

The family immediately reached the Police station, who filed missing report.

” If anybody has seen the two sisters anywhere, Please contact this phone no 6005135463,” their father said.
