Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and veteran Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad is on two-day visit to the Valley amid civilian killings from the last two weeks.
Azad is meeting various political leaders, traders, and civil society delegations in Srinagar’s Church lane guest house to take a firsthand appraisal of the political situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
A senior Congress leader told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC), that Azad arrived in Srinagar on Monday and met dozens of delegations across Kashmir.
The meeting continued on Tuesday during which the scores of political leaders and social activists met him.
He said that the veteran leader also met trade union leaders and EJAC leaders who apprised the leader of the economic situation in the Valley and in Jammu and Kashmir adding that several senior Congress leaders also met the veteran leader in Srinagar.
All the meetings were closed door and no media interaction was allowed in the two days, he added. (KDC)
