August 03 Sajad Hameed/ Shabir Khan Two Militants and one trooper has been killed in a gunfight that raged between Militants and Government Forces at Behrampora area of Sopore in  North Kashmir’s Baramulla District. August 02 A cordon and search operation has been launched by Government Forces at Behrampora of  Sopore area in North Kashmir. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir police jointly launched the anti Militancy Operation. August 02 The Kalroosa and Chaiwan localities in North Kashmir's Kupwara district have erupted over the killing of local Militants on Thursday. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Militancy Slogans hit the Kupwara streets condemning the killing of Militants. The troops deployed in the area did not allow the youth to march ahead, responding to which the youth threw stones on Government Forces. The troops fired tear smoke shells to disperse the youth, however the clashes were going on when this report was filed. August 02 Many Private as well as Government Schools in Islamabad (Anantnag) District have raised serious allegations against the District administration accusing them of forcing the schools to join the Independence day Functions on August 15. August 01 The Jammu Kashmir Police has claimed to have busted sex racket in Srinagar and arrested the accused from Bemina on Wednesday. Detailing the incident, Police said that acting on a specific information, police raided the Hamdaniya Colony in Bemina and arrested two ladies, four male including two local Army personnel and kingpin of the said racket. The Jammu Kashmir Police has lodged an FIR No. 284/2018 in this regard and investigation taken up. Sources say that more arrests are expected in this connection.
