Leopard found dead in Soafshali Kokernag

A leopard was found dead in the Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials told GNS on Tuesday. They told GNS some villagers noticed the carcass of a full-grown leopard lying in the bushes of Kogamnard Soafshali forest area of Kokernag and informed concerned officials. Later a team of officials reached the spot and took the body. When contacted, an official of the concerned department told GNS that it seems that the leopard had a natural death. However, he said experts of the forensic laboratory have taken the samples from the carcass and the report will confirm the cause of the death. (GNS)

Pakistan's military on Tuesday claimed that its navy blocked an Indian submarine from entering into the country’s waters last week. The incident occurred on October 16 when an Indian submarine was detected by a Pakistan Navy (PN) patrol aircraft, the military said in a statement. The navy "detected and blocked the Indian submarine on 16 Oct 21 from entering into Pakistani waters," according to the statement. It said that during the prevailing security milieu, a strict monitoring watch has been kept by the Pakistan Navy to safeguard maritime frontiers of the country. Jammu and Kashmir reported 84 new covid-19 cases even as there was no death to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Monday. Mosques in the Netherlands investigated by private companies: Report

Reports by the local media have revealed that at least 10 towns and cities in the Netherlands have been "secretly investigating mosques and Islamic institutions through private companies," as per a report by Middle East Eye. A local daily NRC Handelsblad reported that mosque association officials and members active in the Muslim community were investigated by Nuance door Training and Advice (NTA) on behalf of municipalities, using unlawful undercover methods. Reports reveal that the NTA staff entered mosques and visited community leaders without revealing their true identities in municipalities including Rotterdam, Delft, Almere, Huizen, Leidschendam-Voorburg, Zoetermeer, Veenendaal and Ede. NIA to Probe into Targeted Civilian Killings in Jammu Kashmir
