The President of the People's Democratic Party and the Former Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti Sunday lashed out at the BJP Led Government over the latest series of a crackdown launched in the valley. More than 21 people were arrested in connection with pro-Palestine protests and later in the evening, the Police arrested two sons of the former Hurriyat chairman, Ashraf Sehrai. Sehrai died while in detention last week in a hospital in Jammu. Suspected militants on Sunday triggered an Improvised Explosive Device(IED) in the Sugan area of South Kashmir's Shopian district. An official said that that a low-intensity IED was triggered near an army vehicle in Sugan area of Shopian. He said that the blast took place far from the vehicle and there was no damage reported in this incident besides that there were no injuries reported. He added that more reinforcement has been rushed to the spot and the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.

The Jammu Kashmir High Court has quashed a detention order against a Pulwama resident, who was booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in 2019. The division bench comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Sanjay Dhar set aside a single bench judgment and overturned the detention of Riyaz Ahmad Bhat of Pulwama district.
