2 Brothers, Owner of House where Encounter was held taken into Detention

Two members of the house, Abid and Tariq Khan sons of Nazir Ahmed Khan, the owner of the house where an encounter raged in Islamabad township have been taken into detention.

Family Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Tariq, who is a driver by profession has been arrested allegedly from the township just now.

Abid who is a shopkeeper has also been taken into detention along with his father, Nazir Ahmed Khan who has served more than 15 years in prison.

An encounter raged in South Kashmir’s Islamabad township early morning on Wednesday when Government Forces laid a siege at the Kotwal Gali locality.

Two Militants have been killed in the gunfight, “Army tried to minimise collateral damage during the encounter as the area is densely populated,” an army official told The Kashmiriyat.

The Militants were identified as Bilal Ahmed of Khudwani and Abid Hussain of Doda, Internet and Railway services have been suspended in South Kashmir.

The Kashmiriyat tried to reach the Police official, however they were unavailable for comments.
