3 Militants, 1 Civilian and 1 Army man Killed in Kashmir Encounters- Full Story

Three encounters raged in the Kashmir valley early morning on Thursday in three different parts, as Government Forces continue to tighten their noose over Militancy.

The Kashmiriyat broke into the the news of gunfights raged in Noorbagh area of Srinagar, Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (anantnag) District and Chadoora area of Budugam.

Two Militants, One civilian and one Army man was injured while three Army men sustained injuries.

The Forces including 53 RR, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF laid a joint operation in Paznan area of Chadoora in Budgam and cordoned off the locality.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that the militants holed up in the area opened fire upon the forces, triggering a gunfight.

Thousands of women and men hit the streets shouting pro Militancy and Pro Independence slogans, the same resulted in intense clashes in the area.

Officials identified the slain Militants as Hizb militants Sheeraz Ahmad Bhat of Kralwari Chadoora and Irfan Ahmad Dar of Kakapora, Pulwama were killed in an encounter in Panzan area of Budgam this afternoon.

Irfan was working as SPO and had deserted with a weapon on June 27 this year and later joined Militancy.

The authorities suspended the Mobile internet Services in this central Kashmir district.

The Government forces conducted another Anti Militancy operation in the Noorbagh area of Srinagar as Militants opened fire on a party of Government Forces in the area, Officials told The Kashmiriyat.

He said that the Militants opened fire, the Militants were chased down and spotted in a house, the house has been cordoned off and two Militants are believed to be holed up.

However Militants escaped the spot of the encounter, but one civilian was killed in the firing.

Authorities suspended Mobile Internet Services in Srinagar immediately.

In the third gunfight, One Militant was killed in tat Damlach of Dooru area in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anatnag) District on Thursday morning.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that the 19 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and 164 BN CRPF conducted the operation in the area.

The Militants as per officials opened fire upon a party of Government Forces during a patrol, triggering a gunfight.

As per the initial reports, two to three Militants were exchanging Gunfire with the Government Forces, however a local Militant Asif Ahmed and an Army man was killed in the gunfire.

Some Militants escaped from the spot.

The Authorities have suspended Mobile internet in the Islamabad (Anantnag) District. (The Kashmiriyat).
