After Gun Salute,CASO launched in Native of Bashir Lashkar

A cordon and search operation has been launched by Government Forces in the native village of Bashir Lashkar at Soaf Shali Kokernag in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Ananatnag) district late night on Sunday.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 19 RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police immediately laid cordon around the area after militants earlier offered Gunsalte to their slain colleague, Bashir Lshakar on his first death anniversary.

Locals said that the forces have laid siege around three villages namely Soaf Sahli, Hangalgund and Nagum.

They said that three youth have been arrested from the Nagum area.

The forces are present in the areas in large numbers as they have blocked the entry and exit points to the villages near Hangalgund.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that they have confirmed inputs about the Militant presence in the area.
