Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu and Kashmir later this month, his first trip to the union territory since the abrogation of Article 370, quoting a senior BJP functionary PTI reported. He will address a conference of local body representatives in Samba on National Panchayati Raj Day on April 24, Jammu and Kashmir BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Kaul said while addressing a function of Kashmiri Pandits here. Kaul said efforts are being made for a meeting between the prime minister and representatives of the Kashmiri Pandit community so that they can raise their concerns with him. In August 2019, the Centre abrogated Jammu and Kashmir’s special status under Article 370 of the Constitution, and bifurcated it into union territories.

Suhail Dar The fuel prices are soaring across India, with petrol prices crossing the 103 rupee mark in New Delhi. On Monday, India registered the 12th hike in fuel prices since March 22. The petrol prices were hiked by 40 Paise per litre taking the total hike in the past twelve days to Rs 8,40 per litre. On April 04, the petrol prices in Anantnag stood at ₹107.95 a litre and the diesel prices have climbed to ₹91.35 a litre. In Srinagar, the petrol prices after Monday's hike is being sold at ₹108.97 per litre and the price of diesel has gone upto ₹92.17. The hike has caused anguish among the general public.
