Tral Encounter- Clashes Erupt near the Encounter Site

March 05 Intense clashes erupted as hundreds of youth hit the streets of Reshi Mohalla and adjoining areas of Tral belt in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth hit the streets as soon as the firing near the encounter site stopped. ALSO READ: Tral Encounter- Two Local Militants Killed The Forces fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters, however the clashes were going on when this report was filed. Meanwhile a search operation is going on at the encounter site as two Militants have been killed.

March 05 Two Militants have been killed in an encounter that raged between militants and Government forces at Reshi Mohalla area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that 44RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area. March 04 An exchange of gunfire took place between Militants and Government Forces in the Reshi Mohalla area of South Kashmir’s Tral area on Monday evening. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 42 RR of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area upon receiving a specific input about the presence of Militants in the area. March 04 An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Reshi Mohallah area of Tral in  South Kashmir’s Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 42 RR of Indian Army, 180 BN CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area. The cordon continued for nearly eight hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter. February 25 Despite growing encounters and repeated verbal attempts of the Army and Director General of Jammu Kashmir  Police, Militancy is showing no signs of declination. In fact the Army General of India has been constantly asking the local Kashmiri youth to give up arms and asking people to keep their wards away from militancy. Massive Hunt for Militants Begins in Pulwama Area

February 25 A cordon and search operation has been launched by Government Forces in Ruhmoo area of Pulwama district in South Kashmir. Following a specific tip off about Militant presence, the 55 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and 182, 183 Battalions of CRPF laid a siege to the Bhagat Mohalla and Dangerpora areas of Ruhmoo on Monday afternoon. The Forces have blocked all the entry and exit points to the area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that reinforcements have been rushed to the spot as a massive areas has been placed under cordon. Pulwama Attack- 40 Including 2 Minors Arrested in South Kashmir

February 20 At least fourty people including two minors, have been detained by government forces during raids in Tral, Awantipora, Pampore and Khrew. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that various youth have been picked up during nocturnal raids from South Kashmir areas including Pampore, Tral, Awantipora. They said that two juveniles, 15 and 16 year old boy was picked up by forces during a noctunral raid in khasipora and Dadsara areas of South Kashmir's Tral Hamlet. A police official said the youth have been detained for questioning. Nocturnal raids and detentions have escalated post the Pulwama attack on CRPF in which at least 45 CRPF men were killed.
