December 28 An encounter has raged between militants and Government forces at Renzipora area in Awantipora belt in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat  that a joint team of 55 RR, SOG, Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation at Renzipora area on Friday morning after Militants attacked a party of 55 RR earlier today. The Forces retaliated and the exchange of fire continued for at least fifteen minutes, as per sources, However, nobody was injured as per reports. December  26 Nawaz Ibn Ahad The residents of Dar Ganie Gund Village of Tral area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district are up in arms and staged a protest on Wednesday against the failure of Public Health Engineering (PHE) department in providing drinking water to residents. The protesters which included men and women said they had been facing shortage of water from last couple of days. With the onset of winter season and Chilai Kalan, the condition and service of PHE department has changed from bad to worse."where we will go in these chilly days and nights", said group of locals of Dar Ganie Gund Village. Some protesters alleged that they have brought the matter into the notice of concerned authorities but nothing has been done to restore water supply in the area as of now.

December 26 After launching a cordon and search operation in the Baderwan of Renzipora area in Awantipora belt of South Kashmir's Pulwama District early morning on Wednesday, the forces have extended the joint operation to nearby areas. On the Wednesday morning, the forces including  RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the area and extended the cordon and search operation to Dogripora, Wakherwan and Douhwat. December 25 A Complete shutdown was observed in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district for the fourth consecutive day against the militant killings on Tuesday. All shops and business establishments remained closed in the area while as public transport remained off the roads. Six affiliates of Zakir Musa including his deputy chief Soliha alias Rehan khan were killed by government forces during a brief gunfight on Saturday morning in Arampora village of Tral belt.

December 24 The District president of Ummat e Islami for District Pulwama, Aijaz Noori has been booked under Public safety act and shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail. Aijaz Noori was arrested on November 07 and has been shifted to Jammu today morning after remaining in Pulwama Jails for more than a month. December 22 Police on Saturday morning identified all the six militants who were earlier killed in a brief encounter at Tral area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. A senior police officer said that all the slain militants are locals and were affiliated with Zakir Musa led group Ansar Ghazat-ul-Hind. December 22 Intense Clashes have erupted between protesters and government forces erupted in Arigam of Arampora area in Tral of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district where a gunfight between militants and forces is underway. A Local told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of protesters including women assembled and pelted stones on forces who responded to intense tear smoke shelling. Announcements are being made on loudspeakers in the mosques asking others to come out, a local told The Kashmiriyat.
