The High Court of Jammu Kashmir issued an order on Saturday for the immediate release of two individuals by overturning their detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA). Justice Sindhu Sharma, presiding over a bench, revoked the detention order for Mohammad Hanief Guroo from Rabitar, Gundi Roshan Ganderbal, and granted his habeas corpus petition. Guroo had been detained based on an order from the District Magistrate of Srinagar, dated May 10, 2023. Meer Irfan A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel died of cardiac arrest in the Shopian district of south Kashmir. An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday morning, a trooper identified as Jai Prakash posted with 246 batalion of CRPF at Shopian's Wachi area fell unconscious at the camp.
