One CRPF personnel died in a road accident on Saturday afternoon near Awantipora on the Srinagar-Jammu highway.
Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that a CRPF vehicle met with an accident near Chechkote area of Awantipora, resulting into injuries to one CRPF man who was rushed to Primary Health Centre Awantipora where he succumbed to his injuries.
The slain CRPF personnel has been identified as Gulab Chand of 130 battalion of CRPF.
