Family of the slain told The Kashmiriyat that Aadil came home before two months however after spending few days at home, police arrested him over charges of having contact with militants.

“He was kept in police lockup for about one month where he was tortured and beaten severely,” they said.

After releasing him he spent about two weeks at home and before few days forces again raided our house to arrest him again however he was not home that moment, they added.

After not finding Aadil at home, his younger brother namely Ahsan Ahmed lone who is an eleventh class student and police said Ahsan won’t be released till Aadil will not be arrested, they told The Kashmiriyat adding that they tried their best to convince Aadil to surrender before police however he resisted by saying “they left me last time now they will kill me and I can’t bear their torture again”.

He left home around 2 pm on Tuesday and at 4 pm Nazneenpora Hayuna was cordoned off where he was killed said his family while adding that his young brother Ahsan was released hours after killing of Aadil.

His father Mohammad Akram lone who is by profession a truck driver told The Kashmiriyat that they got shocked after some of his neighbours informed him that Aadil has been killed in an encounter at Hayuna Tral.

“Police was harassing him without having any link with militants and we don’t know whether he was arrested before Killing him or he was there with militants,” he told The Kashmiriyat.

Belonging to a economically average family Aadil has left behind parents, one brother and one sister.

Meanwhile thousands of people participated in his funeral prayers.

He was laid to rest in his native village Midoora in a local graveyard amid pro freedom and pro militant slogans after multiple funeral prayers.

Further complete shutdown was observed in Tral belt of Pulwama district over the killing of three Jaish militants.
