Militants Attack Army Camp in Tral, Two Troopers Injured

October 25 Militants on Thursday Night attacked a camp of Indian Army in Lurgam area of Tral in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Suspected Militants opened fire on a camp of 42 RR of Indian Army in Lurgam of South Kashmir's Tral area, two troopers were injured in the attack. The troopers retaliated with firing, however the attackers successfully escaped from the spot. An official confirmed the attack and said that a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers. Details awaited.

Two Youth Injured During Gun Salute in Sangam

October 24 Two youth have been injured in accidental fire when Militants offered gun salute to slain Hizb Militant and a Ph.D Scholar, Sabzar Ahmed Sofi in Naina area of South Kashmir's Sangam. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that two youth have been injured when Militants were followed by a large crowd at the site of the funeral. The Militants accidentally fired towards the crowd when the public surrounded them in large numbers, which resulted in injuries to two persons, they said. Both of them have been injured and shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. A group of five to six Militants led by popular Militant commander, Zeenat ul Islam had reached the site of the funeral of Sabzar Ahmed to offer gun salute to their slain colleague.

Government Force Personnel Injured in Tral Militant Attack Succumbs

October 21 The SSB Personnel who was injured in the Tral Grenade attack has succumbed to his injuries after unknown persons hurled a grenade on a camp of CRPF Camp in Midoora area of Tral in South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Friday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown persons hurled a grenade inside the camp of 180 Battalion of CRPF injuring one SSB Personnel who was immediately rushed to the hospital. The SSB personnel identified as Constable Vijay Kumar succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

October 21 Unidentified persons hurled a grenade on a camp of CRPF Camp in Midoora area of Tral in South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Friday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown persons hurled a grenade inside the camp of 180 Battalion of CRPF injuring one CRPF Personnel who was immediately rushed to the spot. The troopers fired in retaliation forcing the attackers to run away from the spot. The forces have launched  a massive manhunt to nab the attackers. Details Emerging.

7th Civilian Succumbs- Death Toll 10

October 21 Another youth injured in Kulgam's Laroo areas has succumbed to injuries mounting the the death toll of civilians to seven. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a teenager identified  as Auqib Ahmad Sheikh son of Gul Mohd of Makhanpora, Kulgam who was injured at the encounter site and was among initial casualties has succumbed to his injuries. October 21 Suspected Militants on Sunday noon opened fired upon a party of Government Forces, Sources told The Kashmiriyat. They said that a Patrol Party of 55 RR was fired upon by Militants at Jangalnad in Awantipora area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. As per initial reports, No loss of life or injury was reported. Intense Clashes Erupt As Locals try to March towards Encounter Site in Pulwama

October 20 Clashes between protesters and government forces erupted in  Pathan area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district where a gunfight between militants and forces is underway. Two to three Militants are believed to be holed up  as a massive gunfire on from both the sides, Sources told The Kashmiriyat. A Local told The Kashmiriyat that scores of protesters including women assembled and pelted stones on forces who responded to intense tear smoke shelling. Announcements are being made on loudspeakers in the mosques asking others to come out, a local told The Kashmiriyat. People in large numbers from adjacent areas are trying marching towards the encounter site.

October 20 An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in Khar Mohallah locality of Pathan area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District. Pregnant Lady Injured in Pulwama Attack Succumbs

October 19 A lady who was injured in a grenade explosion earlier in Shadimarg locality of Rajpora area in South Kashmir's Pulwama has succumbed to her injuries. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unidentified persons hurled a grenade followed by firing at a camp of 44 RR of Indian Army at Shadimarg in Pulwama area to which the troops retaliated with firing. In this incident one lady namely Firdousa Daughter of Khursheed Ahmed Khan a resident of Qasba Yaar in Shadimarg received a bullet wound and was immediately rushed to the District hospital of Pulwama for treatment. Army Assaults Civilians after IED Blast in Pulwama, 20 Injured

October 19 The residents of Trichal area in South Kashmir's Pulwama District have accused the Indian army of highhandedness after seven of their troops were injured in an IED blast triggered by militants on Thursday night. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that immediately after the blast, the soldiers went on rampage after barging into the houses of locals and thrashed inmates including women, old and children. The residents alleged that twelve people including a women were severely injured as Army soldiers thrashed everyone the found.
