In Haridwar, Muslim man arrested for selling eggs

In the Har Ki Pauri area of Haridwar, Nizamuddin from Muradabad was arrested by local police for allegedly violating the law by selling eggs.

The arrest followed reports from “locals” who claimed to have caught him with 5 cartons of eggs and a sack.

Sanjeev Chauhan, the local police station in-charge, stated, “The accused has been detained and is now in jail for selling eggs, based on information provided by residents who presented evidence of his alleged unlawful activities.”

The arrest has stirred controversy, with some questioning its necessity, considering it targets a vendor involved in a common trade.
