Leopard Attack in Kashmir Leaves Four Civilians Injured

An official of the wildlife department along with three civilians were injured when a leopard attacked them in Shopian district of South Kashmir on Sunday.

Officials said that a leopard appeared in Meemander village and attacked people.

The wildlife department was informed and concerned authorities reached the spot in a brisk to capture the leopard.

The leopard left four people injured – two of which are seriously injured while the other two other two suffered minor injuries.

Wildlife employee, Mushtaq Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie, a local of the area are the two seriously injured victims from the attack.

Soon after the attack, the seriously injured persons were shifted to Sub District hospital where from they were shifted to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment. GNS)
